Texas Sports Teams And Their Flags

Texas is known for many things, including its sports teams. Each group has its own unique logo and flag.

Texas has a long history of producing some of the world's top elite athletes. In fact, many of its professional teams are repeat titles holders and part of long sports legacies. The state has professional teams in most major sports including basketball, baseball and football. Each team has its own individual logo with many of them paying homage to Texan history.

The Texas Rangers are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Arlington. They are currently a member of Major League Baseballs' Western Division. The name is an allusion to the local law enforcement agency. As a past winner of the World Series, the team's logo inspires fans around the nation. The flag is a stylized red capital T on a white background encircled with a red semi circle on top and blue on the bottom. On the ball cap, the same stylized T is used in white with a red shadow.

Depending on whom you ask, the Dallas Cowboys may be more famous for their cheerleaders than actual football plays. However, this team has had five Super Bowl championships to date and many more division and conference titles. The team's colors are officially navy, silver and white. The traditional flag features a single navy star with two borders. The innermost outline is white with the other matching the star. All of this is centered on a solid white background.

The Dallas Mavericks are just one of the state's professional basketball teams. At the moment, the team is part of the Southwest Division of the NBA's Western Conference. Their logo is closely tied to Texas' cowboy history and features a white horse under a half-moon inscribed with "Dallas." On the right of the animal, is a blue basketball. The entire design is centered over a blue shield and "Mavericks" in black lettering on a blue banner. Centered underneath the teams' name is a single white star.

The San Antonio Spurs were one of just four teams to remain intact when the American Basketball Association merged with the National Basketball Association. Furthermore, it is the only former ABA squad that has won an NBA title. The logo is the team's name written in black on a grey banner. The letters are outlined in white and the U is replaced with a spur. San Antonio is written above in white on a black banner. The black outline encompasses the title below.

Each teams' logo is unique, though most are intertwined with some element of Texan history. To learn more about where to buy the Texas flag in Kingsville, please visit this website.
